You'll see a little blue link that says More at the end of the FireFTP plugin description.You can leave FireFTP button if you have that installed. If you have FireFTP added there, remove it and restart FF. I rolled back to the last version from 2015 and was operational again. The latest report from the Reviews page of the FireFTP plugin on Mozilla's website says that the latest version is broken. Tried to connect to a known good host - still fails. Renamed ~/.mozilla to ~/.mozilla.LAST and launched Firefox.Updated my Ubuntu 14.04 all the way with the latest updates.Shut down Ubuntu, switched Virtualbox from NAT to Bridged Adapter, and tried again.Installed FileZilla and tried SFTP to these hosts.Can SSH into these same hosts just fine via command line. Can browse the web just fine from the Ubuntu VM. I can also browse the web just fine from the Ubuntu VM. These hosts have alternative SFTP ports, and I ensured the ports were set right. Please try again." Even though this occurs, I can SSH into hosts just fine via command line and use SFTP via FileZilla just fine. Without changing any settings on my Mac or Ubuntu, and after having a couple years of everything working fine, suddenly my FireFTP plugin says, "Unable to make a connection. Inside that, I load the Firefox browser and the FireFTP plugin. On my Mac, I load an Ubuntu VM 14.04 LTS via VirtualBox.
